At Granny's Reliable Rides, we believe transportation should be more than just a ride. We’re committed to being reliable when it matters, consistent in the care we provide, and serving every passenger with heart.
Guided by our motto, Empower Through Access, we envision a community where everyone—regardless of age, ability, or circumstance—can access the places, services, and connections that matter most to them.
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)—rides to and from essential healthcare appointments like doctor visits, dialysis, or physical therapy. NEMT is for people who cannot access their medical appointments using regular transportation. While we do have wheelchair vans, we do not provide stretcher, gurney, or ambulance transport at this time. We can connect you with trusted local providers, like Alaska Medical Transport, if you need those services. NEMT is considered a priority service, meaning these rides are scheduled first to ensure clients can get to and from their medical care on time.
Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) isn’t a taxi service, but it is vital for people who have no other way to get to essential services, non-medical appointments, or program services. These rides are not considered a priority service. They are usually part of state waiver services or community programs. They might include getting to a day program, meal access, employment support, or another service that helps you stay healthy, independent, and connected.
We offer secure prescription pick-up and delivery for clients who are unable to get to the pharmacy themselves, helping you stay on top of your medications without worrying about transportation.
Please note: paperwork must be completed before we can provide prescription delivery.
Pharmacies or similar vendors interested in contracting prescription delivery services are encouraged to contact us to discuss partnership opportunities.
We provide grocery pick-up and delivery for clients who are genuinely unable to shop for themselves, such as seniors or individuals with significant disabilities. This service helps ensure you have access to the food and household essentials you need without the challenges of traveling to the store.
Eligibility requirements apply, and paperwork must be completed before we can provide grocery delivery.
We offer reliable courier services for delivering important items such as documents, small packages, and supplies within the Mat-Su Valley. Whether it’s getting paperwork to the right office, transporting time-sensitive materials, or delivering items for local businesses, we ensure your delivery is secure, timely, and handled with care.
We're excited to announce that starting in the summer of 2026, we plan to offer meal delivery services.

Yes, we are an approved provider with Alaska Medicaid and can accept travel vouchers. Please ensure your provider logs your voucher for billing code A0100.
Yes, however, our drivers do not carry or accept cash payments. Please call dispatch to process payment over the phone or to receive an invoice.
Yes, we encourage clients to schedule appointments as early as possible.
Yes, clients ages 14 to 18 can use our services with a parent or legal guardian’s permission. If the parent or guardian will not be riding with the minor, required paperwork must be completed before services can be provided. All children 15 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a legal guardian or caregiver during the trip.
Our drivers are always happy to help riders safely into the building at no additional cost. However, if you need extra assistance—such as checking in or supervision—we’re happy to provide that as well for an additional fee. Please let dispatch know when booking your ride so we can be prepared to accommodate your needs.
We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations.
